You need to throw links at your bum marketing pages in order to get them ranked well for your targeted search phrases. Even if they start out with great rankings, your pages will slip back steadily without a backlink structure in place (and sometimes even with one).

The strongest link you can get is from article directories. Write a 400+ word article with a link to your page in the author’s bio and submit it to the following directories:

Be sure to use anchor text for your link (using your targeted search phrase) at the directories that allow it.

The other type of backlinks you need are from social bookmarking sites. You should have accounts at 30 or so of the top sites and bookmark every one of your web pages at all of them.
