A smart bum marketer spends some time setting up additional traffic streams to his better-converting web pages. One way to do this is to use videos for marketing. Now if that sounds like something where there are expenses involved, fear not. Expenses are taboo for bum marketers and I would not dare suggest just a thing! Effective video marketing can be done for zero cost.

The first thing you need is an idea for a video that relates to your web page theme somehow. This shouldn’t be too difficult. It can even be a humorous theme - in fact that is a good idea because humorous videos have the potential to become viral.

To produce the video you will use a free screen-capture program known as Cam Studio. (Google it.) Any video format can be converted to a screen capture video simply by playing it on your computer screen. For example, if your video is taken on a camcorder just produce it to DVD and play it on your computer - you might have to get a DVD decoder program to do this. Record the video as it plays with Cam Studio.

Strategically insert your web page URL into the video at times. Just write the URL on a Word file and move the Cam Studio recording window over to the file, pausing when necessary. Most people do this at the beginning and/or end of the video. when you are done publish the video to You Tube, Meta Cafe, and other free video sharing sites.

Now it’s time to do what Bum Marketers do best - drive free traffic to their video. Send friend requests at You Tube, recommend the video to all your Myspace friends, put it in a blog post and tag all the social media sites, etc. If the video is good enough it will pick up it’s own momentum and go viral, bringing your web page lots of free traffic for many months to come.
