Organizing Your Time

time28A bum marketer’s best friend - and worst enemy - is time. It’s a two-edge sword. On the one hand, the more time that goes by the higher your web pages should climb in the search engine rankings, and the more web pages you will have. That’s a good thing. But the other end of this is, if you aren’t making good use of your time to both create more new web pages and build links to your existing pages, then time is what is killing you.

It can be tough to properly organize your time. Life has distractions. You might fully intend to build 3 new pages every night - but what if you run out of search terms or products to promote? Now you are distracted, and even a productive distraction like this can derail your mental schedule considerably. And we all know about the unproductive distractions that creep in as well!

Personally I solved this issue with Sunday Night. That’s what works for me, but the principle is to carve out a few hours over your weekend to take care of all the necessary groundwork and SEO that a bum marketer must take care of. Then you can spend your weekday evenings building web pages.

So Sunday nights I do keyword research, find good affiliate programs, and build backlinks to my existing web pages. During the week I have a whole list of new web pages researched that just need to be built, and my existing pages climb in the search engines. That combination spells eventual success, no two ways about it!
